How to contribute

The KIŠIB project actively collaborates with museums, universities, and research institutions to expand the Digital Corpus of Ancient West Asian Seals and Sealings. If you represent an institution interested in a larger-scale collaboration — for example, making a collection digitally accessible through KIŠIB — we encourage you to get in touch with us directly so we can discuss the scope and terms of a partnership.

Beyond these institutional collaborations, we also welcome contributions from smaller collections — whether public or private — as well as from individual collectors. Many seals and sealings remain unpublished and inaccessible to researchers. By contributing such objects to the KIŠIB corpus, you help make contextualisation possible: connections between objects can be identified, and our collective understanding of ancient West Asian glyptic art grows.

Submission form for smaller collections and individuals

If you own or have access to a small number of seals or sealings that are not yet part of our corpus, we invite you to use our submission form. It will guide you through the information we need — including basic details about the object, its provenance, and any available images. Once completed, please email the form to us. Our team will review your submission and add the object to the database.

The submission form is available in two languages:

If you have any questions about the submission process or need assistance filling out the form, please do not hesitate to contact us at Albert.Dietz@kishib.badw.de.
