Dr. des. Felix Rauchhaus is a specialist in ancient West Asian social and economic history with a focus on language diversity, grammar, and everyday life in ancient West Asia. He works particularly on Sumerian legal and administrative texts as well as broader aspects of ancient West Asian literature. At the Institute of Assyriology and Hittitology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, he contributes to research and teaching on these topics. He has published on credit and income levels in pre-Sargonic Sumer. He brings philological and historical perspectives to the interpretation of cuneiform sources and their socio-economic contexts.
