Jacob Jawdat is currently a scientific assistant at the Institut für Vorderasiatische Archäologie at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. He is part of the KALAM Survey project, which takes place between Fara “Šuruppak” and Ishān Baḥrīyat “Isin”. He has also recently joined the long-term KIŠIB project (Digital Corpus of Ancient West Asian Seals and Sealings) as an Assyriologist. His main research interests focus on the socio-economic history of Babylonia in the 2nd millennium BCE. He is also interested in ancient landscapes in Mesopotamia.
